SEEK CAMP 2020 COVID-19 UPDATE
To our SEEK family,
Greetings! It’s hard to believe that it’s already mid-April. If you are like us, you are ready for things to get back to some sort of normalcy. As you know, this COVID-19 crisis has affected every aspect of our lives and it appears that we cannot yet see the horizon. With the uncertainty of this illness and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Children’s, Youth I, Youth II, and Adult SEEK Camps this year.
This decision wasn’t made in haste. We have had many meetings with Bridgeport Camp and Prothro Camp leadership, The North Texas Conference, and the SEEK directors. Ultimately, we decided it is best for everyone to take a year off and let this virus run its course and protect the health and well-being of our campers and staff. Honestly, it is just a risk we are not willing to take.
In the near future when it is clear that it is safe to gather in large groups again, we will host a SEEK Family Day. We hope this gives everyone the opportunity to see one another, have some much-needed fun together and an event to look forward to with our beloved SEEK Family! We also plan to recognize SEEK 2020 in a special way and we will share that with you soon.
If you have paid, we will begin the process of refunding your registration fees. We look forward to seeing you in 2021 and getting back to the best week of the year. We love you and thank you for trusting us with such great people.
